This page is for the channel status study.

How to assign the channel status?

  • Run 2 & 3 (may include Run 1): see docdb: 4918
    • For each run, we chose 10 events
      • N_dead: dead channel count among the 10 event
      • N_noisy: noisy channel count among the 10 events
    • For each channel
      • if N_dead=10, we refer a “dead channel” and status is “1”
      • if N_dead<10 && N_noisy=10, we refer a “noisy channel” and status is “3”
      • other situation, we refer a “good channel” and status is “4”
  • Run 3 shutdown & Run 4: see docdb: 21425
    • For each run, we go through all the events
      • N_events: number of events in this run
      • N_bad: number of bad channels in the run (among all the events)
    • For each channel
      • if N_bad/N_events=1, we refer a “dead channel” and status is “1”
      • if 0.5<N_bad/N_events<1, we refer a “noisy channel” and status is “3”
      • other situation, we refer a “good channel” and status is “4”
