Instructions Here

If you want to access your own copy of the slowmon (I.E. not shared with a shifter who can move the mouse around while you are trying to work), follow these instructions:
https://cdcvs.fnal.gov/redmine/projects/uboone-operations/wiki/SMC_-_How_to_start_your_own_CSS_gui

If you are for some reason unable to access your own copy of the slowmon, and instead want to access the SHARED slowmon shifter GUI for crate power cycling:

Might need to install some "cisco connect" stuff from here: http://cdorg.fnal.gov/nvs/vpn.php (I did because Wes told me to, not sure if it made a difference) (not needed anymore, see https://cdcvs.fnal.gov/redmine/projects/uboone-operations/wiki/Slowmoncon_VNC_connection_linux)

on your local machine, can you run this line:
ssh -C -N -q -K -L 5902:localhost:5902 &
USERNAME = your user name

on mac, open a generic Finder window then type "command-k" to open up vnc connection (non-mac, get your own vnc client i suppose)

the server you connect to is : vnc://localhost:5902

it asks for a password which is xxxxxxsmc, where xxxxxx is the usual docdb password

(tell shifters not to touch the GUI while you're using it)
