Cathode High Voltage - Overview

The Cathode HV makes our drift field. We read out the voltage and current from the Glassman power supply and the Slo Mon displays these on the.
We monitor the current from the analog output from the back of the power supply using a Keithley meter - the Keithly Current Monitor. The voltage near the end of the resistor chain at the "pick-off" point is also monitored and logged by an additional Keithley. Further monitoring could be added in the future.

Please check alarms from the HV monitoring on the main control panel. If the voltage is lower than it should be by more than 1 kV, there's a problem.
