Beam - Overview

We have two neutrino beams coming into MicroBooNE, BNB and NuMI. We only need to monitor the BNB. NuMI is monitored by other experiments.

1. Make sure the SlowMon is up and running, this contains beam alarms in the "BeamData" in the Alarm Area Panel (upper left in window).

2. In the BOTTOM RIGHT shifter display, open the Booster Neutrino Beam Status Display Page:

http://dbweb5.fnal.gov:8080/ifbeam/bmon/bnbmon/Display

3. The two plots at the bottom will alarm (change color, yellow or red) if there are significant number of spills at the edge or off the target. Note that they will stay in alarm at least for 10-15minutes until bad spills clear away from the plot history.
