Definition of a MID Server from SN:

“The Management, Instrumentation, and Discovery (MID) Server is a Java application that runs as a Windows service or UNIX daemon. The MID Server facilitates communication and movement of data between the ServiceNow platform and external applications, data sources, and services.”

How to login to the Production MID Server

To login to the Production MID Server and do troubleshooting / recovery, a user needs all of the following:

1. A FERMI domain "regular" user account (not a "services" account e.x. user1 (FERMI))
2. An RSA token (hardware or software) linked to the account in 1 above
