Mock Data Challenge

MDC 1.0

For our very first Mock Data Challenge we simulated files using the tag S12.06.17
The following represents what was processed:

Nominal set of MDC is complete and available at /nova/data/mc/S12.06.17_MDC_reco/genie/ (/fd or /nd) and simulated files are appended with _daq.root.

ND 1.0e20 p.o.t. w/ some rock, 1 version
FD 1.2e20 p.o.t. w/ some rock and oscillation parameters A, 100 independent versions (mdc0)
FD 1.2e20 p.o.t. w/ some rock and oscillation parameters B, 100 independent versions (mdc1)

The full information is not being disclosed since this is a Mock Data Challenge.

CAF file locations

All reconstructed files were processed through the CAFMaker. The final MDC CAF files reside here:

To make analysis easier for folks, we also provide one single combined file for each configuration (using ROOT's hadd utility).

Reconstruction I (S12.06.17)

The files were reconstructed through the following chain of modules:
calhit
slicer, cosmicslicer
cana
exposure, cosmictrack
kalmantrack, kalmantrackmerge
elasticarmshs, fuzzykvertex
michelefilter
multihough

The files were also trimmed of MCTruth information. The trimming uncovered a ROOT bug which killed our backwards compatibility.
A work-around was to drop (trim) the me::MichelEInfo object from the files - not problematic right now since it is not being used in CAF files.

Reconstruction II + PID (S12-10-07)

We needed art::Assns producing for various reconstruction modules since this was a new concept not available during S12.06.17.

Further processing moved to tag S12-10-07. Anything listed below uses version S12-10-07 unless stated.

A second round of reconstruction was processed as well as PID objects and energy estimators added to the mix.

In tag S12-10-07 the following modules were processed:

The output files are stored in these directories accordingly:

They are prepended with reco_ (all modules EXCEPT LEM), merged_ (merged lem files prior to adding PID object) and pid_ (final reco+pid file).
The pid_ files are the last file in the chain prior to CAF processing.
