Running the Pilot System¶
To run the Pilot System (currently configured as a 4x40x2 ARTDAQ system spanning mu2edaq05-08 with Aggregators on mu2edaq01), you must have login access to the mu2edaq account. As mu2edaq, you can check out your branch of the mu2e_artdaq repositories in ~/mu2e-mrb-base and build using the instructions here. Once your code is built, simply execute ~/runMu2eMrbSystem.sh to start a run, and ~/cleanupMu2ePilotSystem.sh to stop. Logs will be saved to ~/daqlogs, separated by application, and data files will be in ~/data. The ~/runMu2eMrbSystem.sh sets up the ~/mu2e-mrb-base version of the mu2e_artdaq code and calls ~/runMu2ePilotSystem.sh, which in turn calls the startMu2ePilotSystem.sh and manageMu2ePilotSystem.sh scripts. These scripts should be modified for the particular run conditions you desire.
