Connections into the WUT TDC - Run 1 and part of Run 2

Rationale: the C channels of the WUT have three thresholds and are better for timing. The D channels have only one threshold. I decided to put the two DS PMTs into the C channels as well as 2 US PMTs, chosen because they were better behaved and on opposite sides of the counter.

  • USTOF1 = Upper Left --> WUTD0
  • USTOF2 = Lower Left --> WUTC0
  • USTOF3 = Lower Right --> WUTD1 XXXXXXX NOT CONNECTED!!
  • LARIAT FAST TRIGGER NIM --> WUTD1 for timing verification
  • USTOF4 = Upper Right --> WUTC1
  • DSTOF1 = Right --> WUTC2
  • DSTOF2 = Left --> WUTC3
  • SC3 = Downstream FTBF scintillator paddle --> WUTD3

WUTD2 left empty for the moment. Might put the CER there.

The upper LEMO input is fed by the RESET pulse, see The_LArIAT_supercycle. On a NIM logical high it resets the WUT's counters.

The lower LEMO input is fed the fast trigger. When operated with <externalTrigger>1</externalTrigger> it should only save timeframes in which a trigger occurs.

Staring at the top of the WUT and going down:

  • WUT C3 DSTOF2
  • WUT C2 DSTOF2
  • WUT C1 USTOF4
  • WUT C0 USTOF2
  • WUT D3 no connection
  • WUT D2 no connection
  • WUT D1 USTOF3
  • WUT D0 USTOF4

During part of Run 2 the WUT was on hiatus to see if it was inducing
noise elsewhere. It was not.
