Working with the git repository¶
We are using Git as our source code management system. You can read about git at http://git-scm.com/.
To obtain access, you must have logged into this Redmine site, and then sent a request to Marc asking for access. Logging in to this site is required to add your name to the pool of possible users to be granted permission to access the repository.
To obtain a local copy of (i.e. "clone") the repository, use the following command, replacing <projectname> with the actual name of the (sub-) project's repository you wish to clone. The names of the subprojects are listed on the main page for this, the JDEM SOC, project.
git clone ssh://p-<projectname>@cdcvs.fnal.gov/cvs/projects/<projectname>
If you are new to git, you may find it useful to follow Marc's suggested git workflow.
