These instructions pertain to nodes adeshtux, gumby, and adeshdev.

All of these nodes are in the computer room in the Cross Gallery.

adeshtux and gumby are rack-mounted servers. adeshdev is a desktop in the old style racks near MCR01; this node is non-critical.

Turning on

When booting up, all startup scripts in `/etc/init.d/` should run appropriately.

Proper operation can be verified with `ps aux | grep esh`.

Should all be present. If not running `/esh/eshRESTART` as root should restart all the processes. The terminal output will verify this.

Turning off

All these nodes should recover gracefully. When preparation is an option, they can be shut down normally after notifying the keeper, MCR, and Interlocks.
