Starting the Frontend

The MWPC frontend can be started from the MIDAS webpage. It runs on gm2straw7 (rather than gm2straw6, despite this being the host).

If the frontend doesn't appear to start then make sure that you have a forwardable kerberos ticket for the gm2 user on gm2straw6 and can ssh from there to gm2straw7 and this should solve the problem.

If you still have problems it can be started from the command line from gm2straw7 using:

$GM2_TRACKER_DAQ_BIN/SiDetDAQ_frontend.exe -h gm2straw6.fnal.gov:7070

Accelerator signals

BOS can be accelerator clock (T clock) signal 0 or 30. Check MWPC controller register 0x02 to check which.

EOS is accelerator signal 36. Check MWPC controller register 0x03 to check this is set.
