Automatic tests

Automated tests did not work because RPMs were in Koji and not in Yum

Manual tests

Follows a list of the manual tests performed for this release:

  1. Install/upgrade on SL6, smoke test by Marco Mambelli
    • Factory, v3.4.6 install, SL6, fermicloud320
    • Frontend, v3.5.1_rc1 upgrade from v3.4.6, SL6, fermicloud316
    • Some details
      • Regular smoke test OK
      • Submitted also singularity jobs w/ all debug enabled, OK (Singularity 2.x)
    • Issues
    • Notes
      • Upgrade RPM installed manually (yum repo down)
  2. Upgrade on SL6, smoke test by Marco Mambelli
    • Factory, v3.5.1_rc1 upgrade from v3.4.6, SL6, fermicloud320
    • Frontend, v3.5.1_rc1 upgrade from v3.4.6, SL6, fermicloud316
    • Some details
      • Regular smoke test OK
      • Submitted also singularity jobs w/ all debug enabled, OK (Singularity 2.x)
    • Issues
      • After the upgrade restarting the Factory was OK also it there were active GT2 entries
        • Should the factory not start at all if there are GT2 entries?
        • What will happen in the Python code if there is a GT2 entry?
      • When running upgrade/reconfig was listing the firts GT2 entry, not all
        [root@fermicloud320 upgrade]# service gwms-factory upgrade

  3. Install on SL6, smoke test by Lorena Lobato
    • Frontend, v3.5.1_rc1 install, SL6, fermicloud337
    • Factory, v3.5.1_rc1 install, SL6, fermicloud332
    • Some details
      • Regular smoke test OK
    • Issues
    • Notes
      -Double-checking this installation as Dennis had commented that he had some problems with.
      -Seen typos in the outcome messages from single factory user script
      [root@fermicloud332 sbin]#sudo -u gfactory  /usr/bin/fact_chown_check
      Loading configuration file /etc/gwms-factory/glideinWMS.xml
      Directory /var/log/gwms-factory/client/user_frontend/glidein_gfactory_instance is owned by user with id 497, while the user running thisprocess is 0
      Please, make sure to run the fact_chown script. More details athttps://glideinwms.fnal.gov/doc.dev/factory/configuration.html#single_user
