Notes from 4pm meeting

Run Manager's Meeting February 03, 2017
---------------------------------------
HTD, MSS, BB, EN, ADW, MM, DF, HT, and I bet the early beep was Mandeep

Camera & Telescope
------------------
No problems. Flats are underway in about 10 minutes.

Last Night
----------
Locked out of SISPI twice last night. Editing info was greyed out as if they became guest.
Logging out and in made things work.

http://des-ops.fnal.gov:8080/nightsum/nightsum-2017-02-02/nightsum.html
WF observations plus the 2nd half of long Cosmos r-band.

DESDM & DQ
----------
All WF good. All Cosmos from last night part 2 expected to be good.

From H.L.
I checked the data taken using the cosmos wide-field-like scripts
and the deep r-band script, part 1 (part 2 is not yet processed).
Things look fine.

Please have the observers continue with the remaining scripts using the
criteria we decided upon.

Tonight
-------
Weather doesn't look great. Looks cloudy now but it's supposed to mostly clear up.
SoS says it might not very good tonight. There's a strong N/S flow at 10,000'.

There's no SN in deadman. If seeing was bad we'd do: C3r ...

We have the Cosmos fields to do. Tonight is the last night there is dark time at the end
of the half. Tomorrow there will be a little more. Feb 18th is the other dark night.
Cloud cover: iff consistently > 0.3 => not good enough.

Tonight:
There's Moon until 4:13 UT.
Cosmos plan is same as last night.
Tonight then g-band if better than 1.1",
Then if not, then i-band if better 1.0",
Then if not, then short field zY if better than 1.05" in i-band.

Tomorrow:
same.

Sunday
Skip the g-band if it's not done. Cut straight to zY.

AOB
---
Rasicam had a hot blob near the edge on one side for 15 minutes. Ghost. Maybe Iron Man.
Other systems worked ok.

Green flash report: zero

Wildlife report: 2 small zorros - a whole family.

WoD: plan for success and the shot furthest east.
Iron man was Tim Abbott. Didn't look like him, though.

No meetings over the weekend unless shift calls it or unless we get a TOO.
