Requirements and Goals Table¶
Instructions for Req/Goals procedures pages:¶
For each req. or goal, we should have the following written down:- Prerequisites (e.g. I need an astrometric solution accurate to 100 mas)
- Procedure: the enumerated observations and analysis steps
- Verdict: a clear mathematical expression of the quantities to be measured and what constitutes passing or failing the test.
- Consequences: what we should do if the test fails.
It is fine to consolidate Requirements / Goals that have similar procedures onto a single wiki page.
Requested observations from Requirements and Goals¶
Requirements and Goals depend on observations that fall into two broad categories: regular (exposures with typical survey parameters) and special (exposures that need manual adjustments).
