BCAM Results

The BCAMs are four pairs of cameras mounted on the primary mirror perimeter and the outside of the FCM. Each camera contains a pair of laser diodes and an imaging CCD. The lasers are briefly flashed, producing two image spots on the opposite BCAM. Hexapod motions (tips, tilts, or displacements) cause the positions and orientations of the spots to change, allowing us to infer the hexapod motion and compute a correction.
