Building on Scientific Linux CERN 5¶
On a bare SLC5 server install, Synergia may be built by installing these packages:
- Git (from EPEL)
- python26 and python26-devel (from EPEL)
- Development tools (C, C++)
- gsl and gsl-devel
In a directory in your PATH (~/bin for instance) create a symbolic link to python26
ln /usr/bin/python26 ~/bin
and put that directory at the front of your PATH:
Check out the contract:
git clone -b old_devel_1_0 git://compacc.fnal.gov/home/scmuser/git/contract-synergia2 synergia2-crb4 cd synergia2-crb4 ./bootstrap
Start the contract using the python26 which is now in your path.
It should build everything.
