Description

The VX405/04x is end-of-life. Find a SBC that we can use in it's place.
We would also like to investigate into developing BPM systems for PXIE and NML that are based on VXS/PCIe. Find an SBC and switch card (?) that could support this.

Charlie found this -

http://www.themis.com/products/blc/xv1 (PDF datasheet attached).

P0 GigE controller is the same as the CT board (Intel 82571EB). Contacted Themis for quote.

Talk to Rollie on Friday and he thought the Themis boards would cost $9K-10K per.
Charlie suggested looking into the MVME8100. I did an it and according to the datasheet (attached) it only supports RapidIO and PCIe.
Elma has the CTC VX405/04x SBC listed on their website (http://www.elma.com/en/products/systems-solutions/embedded-boards/product-pages/single-board-computers/6u-vme-and-vxs-intel-core-2-duo-sbc-vp407-vx407-detail/). Contacted for a quote.

Elma and Themis both declined to quote their products as they thought it would be too difficult to source and test parts that support VITA 41.3. Peter says to pursue VITA 41.4 (PCIe) instead.

Contacted Michael Greeley at Concurrent () to quote me on this board - http://gocct.com/sheets/VP/vp92xx1x.htm (data sheet attached).

Turns out that board is also EOL (they can't get the TSI VME bridge chips) but they are more willing to sell me an MOQ of 10 at $5400/ea.

Mercury has a board that supports VITA 41.4 on their website (datasheet attached) but their quote form is broken. Contacted their support asking to forward my request.

Contacted Artesyn for a quote on the MVME8100 with VITA 41.4 (datasheet attached). This is a Freescale board and would require some work, possibly from AD/Controls to work in the controls system. Will discuss with Dennis today to get his thoughts.
