Description

Add checking of the input on the edit pages. E.g. check that string length doesn't exceed the length of character fields in the database item.
This should be done in a way that will be obvious to the user (e.g. length of the input field corresponds to the length of the character length in the database)

If an database error should happen for any reason even after careful checking of the input values a message should be created to inform the user.
Also a message should be displayed when the edit was successful.
