Description

Hi Burt and Parag.

Edgar and I will need a couple tweaks to the glideinWMS to better do our scalability job.

1) Interface the FE to Ganglia.
Condor is already Ganglia-ready, so adding FE stats will make our life easier.

2) Launch multiple Condor instances from a single glidein.
This allows us to simulate higher scales with fewer wasted Grid slots.
(of course, we expect only sleep jobs from "users")

Is any of the two of interest for "official glideinWMS"?
We will likely just hack up something for our tests, but I was wondering if you want anything similar contributed back.

Cheers,
Igor

Adding files for ganglia probe to the ticket. We need to find a good directory structure to put these files. Scheme should make sense for both rpm and tarball distribution.

I have contributed code for (2) in branch v3/6891.

The multi-condor-glidein is enabled by setting the GLIDESTART_MULTIPLE attribute to any positive number.
