Description

On the FTS monitoring webpages, we have so many classes of files that the tooltips get hard to read.

It looks like the tooltips appear above their plot, but under the text of the page, which makes them hard to read when they spill out of the plot area. Can this be fixed?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Can you provide a screenshot?

Attached. Notice how the text has a white background when it's over a plot, but collides with the word "transfers" in the plot title.

This is with firefox, in case it matters.

I see what you mean - it happens on chrome too. I think it ought to be possible to set the z-index for the legend via css styling, but I may experiment to see if there's a better way of displaying it when there are a large number of data series.

I've changed the plots so that only the data series that is currently hovered over is shown in the legend; not all of them. This means that the legend will not be large enough to spill over the edge of the plot where there are a lot of series, and that you'll be able to see more of the right hand part of the plot when the mouse is hovered. We'll have to see how well this works out in practice.

Presumably we have to roll something forward to get this on the novasamgmvXX instances?
