Description

xmlrpc_c builds and tests the abyss server. The test can fail because it attempts to use a specific port:
abyss.c:151: test failure: string not null (Unable to bind socket to port number 8080. bind() failed with errno 98 (Address already in use))
This is a reported Debian bug: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=722503

You can disable the build of both server and client, but it still tries to run the test!! ( --disable-abyss-server --disable-abyss-client )

Consensus is to not fail the build based on the failure of make test.

xmlrpc-c-1.25.28/src/test/abyss.c explicitly opens port 8080. If this port is already in use, make check will fail. Until such time as the xmlrpc-c developers change the test, make check is disabled.

This change is in effect for xmlrpc_c v1_25_28 and art v1_09_03.
