Description

Alessandro has expressed the opinion that it would be nice to have the compressed and de-compressed data products in the DS-50 events have module labels that do not have 1720 or 1724 in the name. In the current model, where the compression and decompression modules only work on either 1720 or 1724 data, this is not supported since the use of these modules in a single job needs to have different module labels for the two different types of ADC data.

A way to achieve the desired goal is to have the compression and decompression modules handle both 1720 and 1724 data, and with this change, a single module label could be used in a single art job.

It is not clear how important it is to have module labels that do not have 1720/1724 in the name, so we should double-check with experiment collaborators before beginning work on this issue.

Please see the attached emails for more details.

I suspect that this Issue may no longer be an issue, but I'll assign it to the NecessaryEnhancements release. We should revisit the question at some point.
