Description

If a receive fails (is truncated for some reason, say), the only notification is a message to std::cerr (which may or may not be printed to the screen before Bad Things (TM)). Ideally a throw would accur.

I'm assigning this issue to this version as it appears to be the oldest one. This fix was included in artdaq v1_01_00, as far as I can tell.
