Description

condor parameters exist for limiting the number of concurrent jobs that run in a dag and for the start rate for new jobs.
Investigate these and make jobsub flags to control them on submission if feasible.

Minerva would like a per-user limit of max_jobs_running
would be nice to detect if jobs are sitting load0 and lower priority for remaining jobs

#5 Updated by Dennis Box over 6 years ago

Queue limit of 1000 jobs proposed

Possibly a config file that jobsub checks before letting an individual user submit more jobs?

there are now max(X) groups where X=max number of jobs in this group that can run at one time, globally for all of gpsn01.
Current valid values for X are 10,20,30,40,50,100,200, with 500 to be entered soon.

jobsub -g max20 will enforce only 20 jobs in this group running at one time
