Description

Hi Carlos,

you wrote the module that simulates the observed spectra. Unfortunately it doesn't run on my computer:

running Sim_Gal_Spec_Observed
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
IndentationError Traceback (most recent call last)
/opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/lib/python2.7/site-packages/IPython/utils/py3compat.pyc in execfile(fname, *where)
    176             else:
    177                 filename = fname
--> 178             __builtin__.execfile(filename, *where)

IndentationError: expected an indented block (desbcc.py, line 49)

Have you encountered this? Also, do you have sample output spectra you can upload into the data bank? I would like to test the new Redshift code on it.

Any other info on this module's IO would be helpful, as it is right next to the Redshift.

Cheers
Ben

Hi Ben,

It was Brian who converted my code to Python, so you better ask him. I don't know if he ever compiled the code succesfully.
I don't know much about Python, but it seems like the loop is not very well defined.
I will post some spectra online with different levels of noise for you to test your code. You take in .fits formats, right?
