Many thanks for your reply. I think I have managed to figure out the POTs we need by looking at what we use in the current beam fits.

So the formal request is:

The very minimum that we would need I think is 1. and 5., and then it would be very good to have 3. as well.
2., 4., 6. and 7. would be very nice to have but they are not the most urgent samples (though having them would allow us to run a good test of a beam fit using the new Flugg11).

Hello Jarek,

yes, I was wondering about the overlay thing. I guessed you would come back to me about this (-:
I just thought to make the request as generic as possible for everyone (in case other groups need this) but for our purposes detector only is fine.
Regarding the size of the samples, I looked at what POTs I have in the beam fits. But thinking about it some more now, maybe I just happened to use all the MC that was there. Do you have any idea what would be a reasonable size for you in terms of production that would still give us something reasonable to look at?
If not then I will have another look at this and come back to you today or tomorrow with updated POT numbers.

Regarding the flux files, Alex, can you possibly give Jarek a timeline by when you could provide the different flux samples?

I guess it comes round and round to the number of files and POT required. The numbers sent by Jarek give me a guideline as to the production effort needed. I will check what a reasonable small sample is and resend the request to the Jarek with smaller samples.
As I said in my emails, we would really need at least 2-3 different samples, not only LE, so this makes reweighting even more complicated.
So to sum up the discussion, I will resend the request with smaller POT numbers.

To address Jarek's comment that the difference is very small, it is not above 5GeV, which is why we also requested some of the special samples where we have always had issues with in the past. This will be very important in the MINOS+ era and anything that helps us understand those issues moving forward we should try.
