Description

To complete proof-of-concept of running a CMS GlideinWMS VM on Wispy at Purdue for the EXTENCI project, we need an EC2-supporting factory set up to be able to submit those VM pilots. The Wispy Nimbus service can support VM submission and control via EC2-compatible interfaces. Preston Smith <> is the contact.

I think we'll find some time for this after Condor Week.

Cannot complete at this time. There is a bug in Nimbus that misinterprets the base64 encoded user data as not being base64 encoded. This prevents Condor from being able to submit requests with user data (a requirement). A bug fix will be forth coming, and may be slated for the 2.10 release of Nimbus, but until then, this is a show stopper.

Update from Jim Weichel:

Purdue has installed a patch from Nimbus that fixes the problem. The testing can now proceed.
