Description

The Factory collector is used as mailbox to exchange messages between the Factory and the Frontends.
This makes it fidderent from anything else run by condor on the Factory (schedd, gridmanager, ..., all involved in Glidein submission).

Anyway it could make sense to move that one also under shared port to simplify the HTCondor configuration and to align w/ HTCondor that favorites the use of shared_port

###########################################################
# Collector Data
###########################################################
COLLECTOR_NAME = wmscollector_service
COLLECTOR_HOST = $(CONDOR_HOST):9618

#-- disable VOMS checking
COLLECTOR.USE_VOMS_ATTRIBUTES = False

#-- allow more file descriptors (only works if Condor is started as root)
##COLLECTOR_MAX_FILE_DESCRIPTORS=20000

#-- Collectors are behind shared port starting in HTCondor 8.4
# Disable the use of shared port by collector
COLLECTOR_USES_SHARED_PORT=False
# In HTCondor 8.6 this seems to be needed as well (otherwise the collector uses shared port)
COLLECTOR.USE_SHARED_PORT=False

1. is it there any special reason to leave the collector out of the shared port daemon?
2. will the move affect reliability or performance?
3. if no, then should shared_port and all others run under 9618, or should the collector move to 9615?

Consider what happens when Factory, Frontend and User pool are all installed on the same host. Probably the factory collector and the user pool one should remain separate. Should the Facotory schedd and submit schedd be the same or different ones (same port or not)?
