Task #23959
HWR Resonance control system
0%
Description
The resonance control system for the HWR cavities will be first driven by the Euro-Crate based slow tuner
hardware from Argonne. Testing and simulations of the slow tuner have helped to develop a path to the tuner
control system driven directly by the LLRF controller card along with a signal conditioning card to match up the
controller and transducer voltage levels. Some questions regarding the Argonne slow tuner hardware need to be clarified.
The test/simulation results and questions to be resolved are included in one document. An architecture for the initial
and final stages for the Resonance Control System are also shown. The signal conditioning chassis will also house
a power-supply for the valves/transducer and all the appropriate connectors to make the connections for both
stages of operation. A separate drawing for the signal conditioning chassis is being prepared.

2/6 update said:
One channel of the Eurocrate slow tuner hardware was tested with a signal conditioning/connector junction box and the
LLRF controller. Initial Results of the open loop testing are shown.

Measurements were made with the Pressure and Vacuum valves and the pressure transducer of the
HWR slow tuner system at CMTF to characterize their power and control input requirements.
Timing and control measurements of the pressure regulation loop of the slow tuner eurocrate
controller are also shown.
