Description

I'd like to request the ability to access to SubRun information from within gallery. In our particular use case, we are using the sumdata::POTSummary data product for MC normalization. Currently, gallery-based analyses must access this information "out of band" with a separate script/analyzer module and do extra bookkeeping to keep track of file POT, which is both inconvenient and error-prone. Having this available within gallery would provide much cleaner solution, so we'd really appreciate this feature if it's possible to implement.

  • Status changed from New to Under Discussion

It is certainly possible to provide access to (sub)run products via gallery. There is a discussion, however, regarding how the products should be presented to users. Erica and I will find a time to talk with you to discuss options.

  • Status changed from Under Discussion to Assigned

Per discussion with Andy and Erica, we will implement a facility to allow direct traversal through the SubRun and Run trees, omitting any notion of data-containment hierarchy. The estimated time reflects analysis only.
