Description

I get the following error message at the end of my larStage0.err file for jobs submitted with uboonecdode v06_80_00, which otherwise succeed interactively.

cet::exception caught in art
---- OtherArt BEGIN
  ---- SQLExecutionError BEGIN
    Failed to start SQLite transaction
  ---- SQLExecutionError END
---- OtherArt END

I am not able to tell if the issue arises with the input or output.

That input file is here:
/pnfs/uboone/scratch/users/davidc/v06_74_01/ccpi0_supera/0531/davidc_prod_reco_optfilter_extbnb_ccpi0_v13_mcc8_nonempty/8089927_4/LArSoft.root

The log for the job which used this input is here:
/uboone/data/users/davidc/book/v06_80_00/ccpi0_ssnet/0531/davidc_prod_reco_optfilter_extbnb_ccpi0_v13_mcc8_nonempty/8682250_92/

Looking at larStage0.err, it appears there was a problem in writing to the output file SSNetHits.root, which is where the failure would have been triggered. Unfortunately, since the transaction-initiation code did not print out the SQLite failure status, we are unable to diagnose further; it could be any of the non-zero codes listed on this page.

These problems do arise every once in awhile. Because the issue appears to be transient, the best we can do is update our code to print out the SQLite error so that we can diagnose better in the future.

Error-code improvements have been implemented with cetlib:1738510.
