Description

Kermit Carlson requested four more power supply controllers for the IOTA injection line:

These supplies will have the same scaling and control as the rest of the +/- 10-Amp Krafczyk power supplies on ESB bulk #2. Wayne and I were just discussing running the wires between racks and we should be able to have that done in the next few days, the load cables to the magnets will not be in until sometime late next week..... so that is our real target for getting them powered.

The magnets are

N:Q801 injection line Quad 801
N:Q802 injection line Quad 802
N:H801 injection H corrector 801
N:V801 injection V corrector 801

History

#1 Updated by Richard Neswold over 1 year ago

Mike Kucera installed another V474 card and assigned it "address 12". He says:

The scaling, status, control, etc. will be similar to the other 10 amp supplies (N:H610 for example). The HRM readbacks will be right after the Bulk 2 readbacks.

N:Q801 V474 ch0, HRM ch54
N:Q802 V474 ch1, HRM ch55
N:H801 V474 ch2, HRM ch56
N:V801 V474 ch3, HRM ch57

  • Description updated (diff)

Update description with Kermit's original request.

  • Status changed from Assigned to Feedback

Updated the startup script to create another instance of the driver. This one is attached to OID 28:

v474_create_mooc_instance(28, 12, 1, 1, 1, 1);

I also typed the command in the running system and it saw and attach to the V474 Mike installed. I created all four devices and based them on N:H610. Someone will need to verify it's reading and controlling the correct supplies (I'm available to help, if you need me.)

Changing the status to "Feedback". If it all works, we can close out this issue.

Mike, are these devices working properly?
