Establish criteria to judge between the options. Build on the following list:
  1. The number of requirements met
  2. The number of desired items met
  3. The penetration of the technology / level of support available from the broader IT / CS community
  4. The local expertise available, or the cost of acquiring it
  5. The ease of programming to meet the requirements (subjective…)
  6. Scalability
  7. The estimated effort / disruption of moving to that solution
  8. The estimated cost / benefit of moving
  9. Simplicity of interface
  10. Performance and responsiveness of display actions
