Description

Direct translation of the new codes for SL7 upgrade/reconfig can go as follows;
I need to polish these instructions and put them in the gwms page:

1. how to use reconfig:
A. when the service is running
A.1 default without additonal options
- systemctl reload gwms-(frontend,factory).service
or /usr/sbin/gwms-(frontend,factory) reconfig
A.2 when you want additional options, you have to
stop the service first, run the reconfig command and start the service back
- systemctl stop gwms-(frontend,factory).service
AND
- /usr/sbin/gwms-(frontend,factory) reconfig your options
AND
- systemctl start gwms-(frontend,factory).service
B. when the service is NOT running, (with or without additional options):
- /usr/sbin/gwms-(frontend,factory) reconfig (your options)

2. how to use upgrade (with or without additonal options):
A. when the service is running, you have to
stop the service first, run the reconfig command and start the service back
- systemctl stop gwms-(frontend,factory).service
AND
- /usr/sbin/gwms-(frontend,factory) upgrade (your options)
AND
- systemctl start gwms-(frontend,factory).service
B. when the service is NOT running
- /usr/sbin/gwms-(frontend,factory) upgrade (your options)

  • Note that systemctl reload gwms-(frontend,factory).service
can be used only for the default(without options)-reconfig command
