Description

Dear LArSoft experts,

In order to do recombination correction in calorimetry reconstruction, we need to know the magnitude of the electric field as a function of (x,y,z) in the TPC. It would be helpful if LArSoft can support a field map.

I wonder if the space charge infrastructure provides anything similar already.

Yes I've been working with a parametrized map for some time, which has already been put in LArSoft (see the SpaceCharge service in larevt, with experiment-specific implementations in the appropriate places). I have provided them for MicroBooNE, 35-ton, and single phase protoDUNE. I can produce maps for other experiments (e.g. SBND) on request.

Such a feature is already available in SpaceChargeService, and the author of the request has confirmed that it satisfies the need.
