Description

There's interest from the experiments in adding some functionality that would enable users to modify their job submissions without requiring administrative intervention, such as in cases where a job is held for exceeding a request, and the user would like to release the job after upping the request. Something like jobsub_qedit that worked with memory, disk, lifetime, and site options may work well, as it would prevent the users from modifying anything that could really screw their job up, and then jobsub could do any other necessary steps behind the scenes (for example, resetting the memory usage of a held job to 0 at the same as that RequestMemory is increased.) Then users could do e.g. jobsub_qedit --jobid= --memory=4000MB ; jobsub_release --jobid= in order to get jobs held for excess memory usage going again.
