Bug #1264
Run Control Status request rate changed
0%
Description
Around April 7th the run control status request rate change from 0.5Hz to 0.7Hz for no apparent reason. It is believed that the configuration did not change, so the change in behavior is not understood.
You can find more details in the excerpted archive from the nova-daq-software mailing list that I have attached below. You can find the referenced pictures there.
Well, (in a smaller picture) response times didn't change.

Jon,
Is the rate of sending heartbeats affected by how long it takes for the responses to come back?

From DCM-13, aka dcm-3-2-3. It looks like the RC StatusRequest Rate has changed.

Weird. We didn't start reading out dcm-3-03-01 until 4/8/2011. I'm pretty sure the heartbeat frequency hasn't changed.

Does anyone know why the RC status request rates changed around 4/7/2011? It went from 0.5Hz to 0.7Hz. Is this intentional, or is this a side-effect adding more DCMs, or ...?
