Feature #1262
narrow down observed issue data through the posted network issue link
0%
Description
It would be cool to use "Issue posting " capability of the E-Center to discuss something like that. It will give us an idea on what is missing from UX perspective. Right now if I click on the link you provided then there is no pointers/highlighting on the page, of cause I know what you talking about but for users sometimes it wont be so obvious. I suggest in case of specific metric anomaly ( MaxRTT in this case) the link should show only MaxRTT chart with short comment attached ( for example "see data at 18:55") and with a button to get back to the full data view.

As far as I can tell, what you are describing is per-user result annotation. I think this should be targeted at v2.0 (later 2011) or later after user testing. Annotation would be really neat, but would be also be a huge effort (several months work of development).

Okay, I understand this better now that I talked with Max. My initial reaction is that the user, when creating an issue, can be presented with an interface for "highlighting" specific charts...

Unassigning myself. This would be cool if it can be done. It might be easier with a different architecture though.
